72 hr lab-to-report turnaround. Thanks to digital pathology and our laboratory workflow solutions, you can have results delivered within 72-hours* of your specimen arriving at the laboratory.
*72-hours is our overall specimen turnaround time. Prostate biopsies have an average turnaround time of 24-28 hours and skin specimens have an average turnaround of 48 hours.
Digital Imaging
PathNet is a fully-digital pathology laboratory. All our slides get scanned into a digital platform for instant access. Pathologists can signout your case immediately after they have been processed.
We scan all our slides using high-resolution scanners at up to 40x magnification and upload them to the BxLink™ digital platform for instant access.

PathNet provides our clients with premiere tissue handling materials that improve clinic workflow and tissue quality in both the clinic and the lab. By using the BxBoard© in prostate biopsy collection, we reduce the number of containers required in-procedure and preserve tissue quality during transport.
Paired with the BxChip©, used in our laboratory, we are able to maintain tissue orientation for the pathologist and provide tumor localization data.
Ancillary Testing
PathNet takes pride in implementing workflow solutions that save time in both the lab and the clinic. We use integrated ancillary testing capabilities so that you can get results faster.
Clinicians that use PathNet’s lab can pre-define conditional testing requirements for the pathologist to approve at signout. Depending on the test, PathNet splits the sample (for urine cytology) or pre-cuts the tissue when it’s received in the lab in preparation for testing.
